This also annoyed me when I was younger. Many times the boy option would be something really cool and the girl option would just seem lame.Why do they ask if you want a girl toy or a boy toy at McDonalds. Shouldnt they just have gender-neutral toys?

Men are men and women are women. What is wrong with that. It worked quite well for thousands of years. It works quite well for other species.
Boys are boys and girls are girls. It goes along with what they eventually grow up to be.
People need to learn how to live together in a society of both genders. They most certainly do not need to believe that there are no genders or gender differences.
