Are toys that have been thrown away and picked up by the garbage truck lost forever?

Any chance of rescuing them? (mcdonalds toys and a collection of star wars spaceships) Its only been a few days since the garbage truck picked them up.Are toys that have been thrown away and picked up by the garbage truck lost forever?

Depending on where you live, you might still have a chance. Your best bet is to call your trash company and see.



I know where I live, it would be gone for good. I live near Cincinnati, and all of our trash goes to a place we call Rumpke Mountain, if that gives you any indication of the size of the landfill.

Don't know but I remember not being able to sleep one night and watching a show called the life and grime in new york or something like that. A lady accidentally threw out a check in her mail and had to go through the whole garbage tip to find it. They let her have a look told her approximately where her suburbs trash was dumped and she had to search through it til she found her garbage bag. She did get the check back, but I tell you I was gagging just watching what she has to go through to find it, she was dry retching going through it. So possible but gross.
eew, not sure you'd WANT them back... but you might want to call the local trash company and get their input, find out how busy the landfill is... but if you live in a large city, I'd say fugeddaboutit.
