Mcdonalds has been banned from making toys that relate to a recent film, why?

I have heard that mcdonalds have been banned from making any toys (happy meals) that relate to any recent film that is viewing in the cinemas. I know its advertising the film a bit, but theres always advertising, even when you dont notice it!So why has mcdonalds been banned the right to make toys?
