What do you think of the ban on Happy Meal toys in San Francisco?

I think it's ridiculous. Blaming McDonald's for childhood obesity? If anyone should be blamed it's the parents! Who else is taking these children to McDonald's for their happy meals? What do you think of the ban on Happy Meal toys in San Francisco?
San Fransisco (and California in general) just doesn't like happy kids. It's just f*cking toys! Give them back to the kids!
Fast food chains spend $1.6 billion a year on promoting children鈥檚 toys and their junk food according to Reuters news service.

The city of San Francisco realizes that feeding junk food to your kids is not a smart way to have a healthy city. They are the first and won鈥檛 be the last. I wish cities didn鈥檛 have to do this but right now there aren鈥檛 enough parents clamping down and telling their kids no to Happy Meals. What do you think of the ban on Happy Meal toys in San Francisco?
it's nice to see some attempt to change children being overweight due to eating fast food, however I do agree that it should start with the parents. but in the big picture, the fact that someone is trying to do something instead of just blowing it off to make money is refreshing, although it is sad that the fast food companies are the ones having to take the brunt of the blame when parent's should be handling it in the first place- but, it's better than nothing. :-)
I agree w/part of your argument.. however, these ad's on tv and a clown tend to make the kiddies beg for those meals.. and the toys are an extra draw.. but you're correct in assuming that the ultimate responsibility belongs with the parents.
your right

it is the parents that get the food for the kids so the kids get fat

McDonald's just gives the parents what they ask for
it's a weak attempt to discourage people of eating that mcdonald's garbage...they should have just banned mcdonald's and all the other grease pits
It is definitely the parents fault. They are way to lazy to cook nutritious meals
its funny funny fun fun
I think it's totally stupid!!
